Abstract

In the face of all environmental degradation, and current water shortages, groundwater resources emerge as a new hope for survival. However, the way a resource is exploited is not a matter of unscrupulous quality to which surface water has been used: indiscriminately. If it is important to discuss this state, in the near future, water resources will generally be found if the exploitation continues in this way. This work should provide data and information that seek the quality problem of a society, especially that resident in the Northeast of the country, is at a few levels of insertion, without there being the least astonishment with a situation. Explain an order in which a crisis sets in, well digging solution, and present the problems of the region. Taking Iracema as a sample of the region, a situation described, happens in several municipalities in the Northeast. The paradox between a need to take advantage of underground water and an awareness of the problems arising from exploitation becomes evident. An artesian well drilling is an alternative to supplying an area where water is scarce or non-existent. For this, special attention should be given to meeting the reserves, in order to preserve the most important patrimony of the Northeastern backwoods.
